~Laugh at yourself first, before anyone else can~ Elsa Maxwell
When you make fun of yourself, you disempower those who would make fun of you and disarm possible confrontations.
Turn those moments of absolute humilation into beautiful memories with laughter. I remember clearly my 12th birthday party. We were gathered around the table enjoying Papa Johns pizza and drinking my jr high favorite--orange soda--when suddenly with out warning I laughed. Soda everywhere! Out the nose, mouth, I swear some made it out my ears! all over my beautiful slice of pizza and several of my friends. Needless to say...my nose felt fizzy for several hours afterwards. But more importantly it was a cause of great laughter and it contiuned to be a joke at lunch for the rest of the year. And unfortunatly milk, water, lemonade all proceded to damage my nostrils. What can I say...I laugh alot :)
Bring joy into other's lives. I make it a personal goal to have everyone I interact with laugh. At me, with me, it is all the same.
As a nursing student I study the human body, I deal with health promotion and contiuned wellness--Laughter is healthy.
Laughter is a powerful antidote to stress, pain, and conflict. Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh. You can’t feel anxious, angry, or sad when you’re laughing.
Challenge Today: Make someone laugh~
